This project, in installation and book design, focuses on the livelihood and survival problems of migrant construction workers amidst major real estate impacts. It explores: what causes our society to collectively neglect the entire section of people?
Inspiration came from Ken Loach's film Bread and Roses, which illustrated the "work uniform principle" - once migrant workers don uniform, they blend into the environment and become invisible. We can hardly perceive them as fellow human beings but rather as faceless objects that enable comfortable lives, just as the neglected elephant in the room.
